Charlotte George Joins Arteom Gallery’s Ethe/Real Exhibition — With Earth’s Whisper Debuting in Times Square

I’m thrilled to share a milestone that feels both surreal and deeply meaningful in my artistic journey. This month, I was invited by Arteom Gallery to participate in their upcoming online exhibition, “Ethe/Real,” a curated showcase exploring the boundaries between the tangible and the transcendent. The exhibition will run from November 27th to December 11th, bringing together contemporary artists whose work speaks to the emotional and atmospheric spaces between reality and imagination.
But there is an even more extraordinary moment within this exhibition - one I never expected to experience so soon in my career.
On November 27th, four artworks from my Earth’s Whisper series will be displayed on a digital billboard in Times Square. Yes - that Times Square. The crossroads of the world, the global icon that draws millions of eyes each day, will feature my work as part of this exhibition’s opening showcase.
To say this is an honor is an understatement. It is a moment of visibility, celebration, and artistic affirmation that I will hold with me for years to come.
A Moment I Never Imagined So Soon
Every artist dreams of reaching new audiences, of seeing their work step into spaces that feel larger than life. Seeing four of my paintings presented in the middle of New York City - a city built on ambition, diversity, intensity, and creativity - is something I’m deeply grateful for.
Times Square is an environment of energy: layered light, motion, sound, and human movement. It’s a place where stories collide and where art can find its way to people who may never have encountered it otherwise. Knowing that my work will exist in that environment, even for a moment, is incredibly humbling.
As part of this opportunity, Arteom Gallery will also be sharing:
- A digital PDF catalogue featuring all curated works
- High-resolution official artwork images, and
- A link to the EarthCam video capturing the Times Square display in real time.
I look forward to sharing all of these materials as soon as they become available.
The Earth’s Whisper Series: A Conversation With the Ground Beneath Us
The artworks selected for Ethe/Real come from my Earth’s Whisper series - a body of work inspired by the hidden materials, movements, and energies within the natural world. This series draws upon the quiet yet powerful presence of the earth beneath our feet:
- deep sediment,
- buried minerals,
- fractured stone,
- ancient layers of pressure,
- and the unseen elemental forces shaping our landscapes.
Through acrylic ink on canvas, these paintings merge smoky blacks, subtle metallics, diffused neutrals, and shifting organic textures into atmospheric abstractions. They feel, to me, like listening to something ancient - something that has always existed, even if we rarely stop to notice it.
When I began the Earth’s Whisper series, I didn’t imagine it would become one of the most defining parts of my practice. It started as a quiet experiment - a desire to express depth rather than object, emotion rather than form, essence rather than imagery. To now see these works expanding into international visibility is incredibly meaningful. Their presence in Times Square feels symbolic - a whisper carried into a place defined by its roar.
The Exhibition: Ethe/Real
Arteom Gallery’s Ethe/Real exhibition focuses on works that blur the line between the physical and ethereal. It is an exploration of the intuitive, the emotional, the abstract, and the atmospheric. I am honored to have Earth’s Whisper included among artists whose work pushes this boundary in their own ways.
What makes this exhibition particularly exciting is its accessibility. As an online exhibition, it allows people from anywhere in the world to engage with the work - collectors, fellow artists, art lovers, and those simply curious about discovering something new. The Times Square spotlight adds a surprising physical presence to an otherwise digital experience, creating a bridge between the virtual and the real, the intimate and the monumental.
A Thank You From the Heart
Opportunities like this don’t happen in isolation. They happen because of the growing community of people who see value in my work - who share posts, who comment, who collect art, who send encouraging messages, and who simply enjoy being part of this journey.
To everyone who has supported me, in small or large ways, thank you. This moment belongs to all of us.
And to Arteom Gallery - thank you for recognizing the quiet power in the Earth’s Whisper series and for believing it deserves a global stage.
What’s Next
As soon as Arteom Gallery releases the exhibition catalogue, official images, and the EarthCam footage of the Times Square display, I’ll share everything here. I can’t wait for you to see these pieces illuminated above one of the world’s most iconic cityscapes.
Until then, I’m holding onto this moment with gratitude, excitement, and a renewed sense of creative purpose.
